The inaugural edition of DIJS organised from 11th to 14th December, 2009 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi witnessed significant participation from the likes of Gitanjali (with all its brands), HV Jewels, Kiran Exports, Elite Jewels, S Vinod Kumar Group (Indigo Jewellery), JB Brothers, Bhagwati Jewellers etc.

Over 5500 visitors were hosted to a startling range of jewellery in Platinum, Diamond, Gold, Silver, Kundan, Polki and Jadau. International business visitors from France, Belgium, Thailand, Hong Kong, Pakistan, US and Italy including high profile delegations from the Singapore and US Trade Commissions added to the glitter. Local business visitors from Mumbai, Surat, Pune, Nagpur, Chennai, Jammu, Ambala, Amritsar, Meerut, Jallandhar, Chandigarh and Patna added to the right mix of buyers.
